Pro Member (Voting Member) - Your vote. Your voice. Your profession. - $90.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments Certified Core Members are at the heart of VCPA.

This membership is for paralegals who are currently employed, self-employed, or have been employed within the last six months. It’s ideal for those actively engaged in producing substantive legal work under attorney supervision or other authorized legal structures.

Certified Core Members enjoy full voting rights and may hold office within the Association.

Eligibility Requirements:
Be currently employed as a paralegal, self-employed as a paralegal, or have been employed within the past six months
Derive their primary income from paralegal work
Be engaged in producing substantive legal work that, if not performed by a paralegal, would be completed by an attorney
Work under the direction and supervision of an attorney, or be authorized to perform this work under administrative, statutory, or court authority
Have either: (a) Graduated from a paralegal training program, or (b) Been in-house trained and formally classified as a paralegal
May also be a working paralegal currently enrolled in a paralegal training program

Allied Member (Associate Member – Non-paralegals) - Together, we advance legal excellence. - $130.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year No automatically recurring payments AUTO RENEW CAN BE OPTED OUT OF AFTER JOINING.

Legal Affiliate Members are vital allies in our mission to advance the paralegal field. This membership level is open to attorneys, legal service providers, recent graduates, and other professionals who do not meet the criteria for voting membership but wish to stay engaged with and support VCPA’s goals.

While Legal Affiliate Members do not have voting privileges and may not hold office, they enjoy full access to all member benefits, including events, publications, and networking opportunities.

Eligibility:
Attorneys, Legal support professionals, Recent paralegal graduates not yet employed after six months, Legal professionals interested in promoting the goals of the Association

Aspire Member (Student Member) - Where your legal journey begins. - $35.00 (USD) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) AUTO RENEW CAN BE OPTED OUT OF AFTER JOINING.

Aspire Members are the future of the legal field—and VCPA is here to support your journey. This membership is designed for individuals currently enrolled in a paralegal training program or recent graduates who are actively seeking employment as paralegals.

While Aspire Members do not have voting privileges and may not hold office (except as permitted by Association Bylaws or a vote of the Board of Directors), they enjoy full access to VCPA resources, events, and professional development opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements:
(a) Currently enrolled in a paralegal training program, or (b) A recent graduate of a paralegal program who is actively seeking, but has not yet secured, paralegal employment

While this membership level does not include voting rights or the ability to hold office, exceptions may apply in the case of law firms enrolling paralegals as members.
