The Ventura Superior Court is recognizing November as Court Adoption and Permanency Month, following a statewide declaration by the Judicial Council of California. To celebrate, the court is holding a special adoption event on November 21, 2025, where several children’s adoptions will be finalized and Certificates of Family Membership presented; the public and media are invited.

The Ventura Superior Court has launched a new Court-Ordered Civil Mediation Program effective November 10, 2025. Certain civil cases may now be referred to mediation, giving parties up to three hours of free mediation services to help resolve disputes more efficiently before trial.

Starting August 4, 2025, Clerk’s Offices and Records Departments at all three Ventura County courthouses will be open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. without closing for lunch, and appointments will no longer be required at select offices.
